What is Zinc? A mineral sunscreen, that sits on top of your skin and refracts UV rays. Chemical screens (Oxybezone, Octinoxate, Avobenzone..to name a few) absorb the sun’s rays, and can easily enter the bloodstream. In a study, Octinoxate was detected in 64.7% of sampled women’s breastmilk...
Nano means small—less than 100 nanometers, and can easily enter the bloodstream. Our patent pending Non-Nano Zinc Oxide has an average particle size of 150 nanometers. This means it’s safe for the skin and the environment—it is the safest form of SPF.
Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 uses Non-Nano Zince that is silicone-free (most zinc is coated with silicone), and creates a natural shield against UVA, UVB, UVC, infrared and blue light—giving you 360 broad spectrum protection.
To make it unique, it also contains an Active Stress Defense Technology, which intercepts and quenches free radicals before they enter the skin, and enhances antioxidative ingredients (think Niacinamide or your favorite Vitamin C serum) 5x more than competitor formulas.
It’s registered as an SPF 40, but when testing, our reading came in at an SPF 48! Which means your skin is protected at least 40x longer in the sun. That’s a long time!
We hope this helps explain more about Zinc and why we love it so much, as it really PROTECTS your skin and boosts your skincare.
