A smokey eye is our pick for the biggest night of the year—it’s a look that just keeps getting better as the night wears on. Be sure to balance with a pale lip and slightly powdered complexion.

Using our versatile Silken Shadow Sticks, start by blending And She Was from lashes to brow bone. This highlighting base will help build color intensity as you add layers. Build depth in the crease of your eye and in a V shape in the outside corners using Next To You. Blend in an “up and out” motion. Then, swipe You Spin Me Round on the lash line, blend up onto the lid and sweep below the lower lashes.

NOTE — Our Silken Shadow Sticks are made from 100% natural dye and are 42% organic, vegan, and gluten-free.

For full drama, closely line the outer corner of your upper lashes with Rebel Rebel Pure Eyeliner and blend into the gunmetal cream shadow. Line the lower lash line even more generously and gently blend out edges to create a dark but diffused smoky eye. Finally, apply the liner on the inner rim of the eyes and follow with a few coats of Nightfall Pure Mascara.

TIP — Avoid adding any dark shadow to the inner third of the eye (top or bottom), which can make eyes look smaller. Dab a touch of Illuminator in the inner corner to highlight and help open up the eye.

The perfect counterbalance to high-drama eyes is a pale lip. Using the Defining Lip Brush, apply Lipstick in The Brides for a pink-nude finish in a nourishing, 72% organic formula.
