    I hate soap

    I've always abhorred cleanser that leave my skin tight, hot and painful. This stuff though feels like nothing and removes everything. WOW. I can now wash my face in peace.

    Melt The day away….

    Really loving this foamy cleanser… melts the day and makeup away without that stripped dry feeling and leaving my face refreshed and ready for skincare routine… which has been using the new face milk :)

    This is the best!

    I love the way my skin feels after I cleanse with this product and was SO Happy to see the smaller (travel) size offered! I ordered 2 as it is not always available.

    I find this cleanser does remove my makeup -- all of it. I use 3 pumps, take some time to let it do its work as I massage my face, and then use a face cloth over my entire face to help remove my eyeliner and mascara (all ILIA, of course :).

    My photo is with makeup, but I think I have covered the most important parts for this cleanser. I highly recommend this product!

    Extremely gentle

    I received the Ilia "The Cleanse" Soft Foaming Cleanser + Makeup Remover from PinchMe in exchange for review. While I like self-foaming cleansers, I thought the lather on this was a bit thin. It didn't want to stay on my face so I could work it into the skin; it wanted to rinse off right away. Perhaps due to that, I had some trouble using this to remove makeup, even though I followed the directions (2-3 pumps; repeat if using long-wearing makeup). I prefer using this in the shower on no-makeup days for just removing skincare. It does sting a little if it gets in the eyes. Although it is unfragranced, it has a skincare-y smell that I did not find pleasant, but it wasn't anything unusual for unfragranced skincare. I think this would be a good product for someone who needs something extremely gentle.
